Well, luckily for us Long Islanders we have plenty of boat cruises available for our enjoyment, and no need for boat ownership! So if you are looking for a fun and relaxing way to enjoy a beautiful day, check out our listing of some of the best Long Island boat cruises available right at our fingertips!

1. Freeport Water Taxi & Tours – Freeport, NY

Are you looking for a relaxing way to relieve the day's stress? Come aboard the Freeport Water Taxi, located on Freeport’s famous Nautical Mile. Freeport Water Taxi & Tours offer eco tours, Mardi Gras cruises, fishing excursions, Caribbean cruises, happy hour cruises, sunset cruises, seal watching cruises, fireworks cruises, and they also act as a shuttle between Freeport and Point Lookout. Yes, you heard right, an actual boat taxi! To top it all off, now every Saturday night enjoy the lovely sounds of the steel drum live by Kalypso Kevin! 2. The Great Gatsby Boat Tour – Port Washington, NY

Are you a fan of the 1925 classic, The Great Gatsby? If so, check out The Great Gatsby Boat Tour! Tour the bay that helped inspire F. Scott Fitzgerald’s imagination and creative juices. Unfortunately, there is only one date during the 2017 season, so don’t miss it! The Great Gatsby Boat Tour will take place on Tuesday, August 8th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Enjoy a 90-minute boat tour of the Long Island Sound and Manhasset Bay. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased through the website. 3. Sailing Montauk’s Catamaran Mon Tiki – Montauk, NY

If you are planning a day trip, or live on the east end of Long Island, spend a day with Sailing Montauk! The sailboats are eco-conscious, Polynesian-inspired double-canoe sailboats and they are perfect for a charter or a relaxing day trip. Enjoy the beauty of Montauk and wind down with a sunset cruise, or take the family out on the three-hour sail and swim trip. What could be better than sailing and swimming? The trips at Sailing Montauk run from July to Labor Day, and while the 2017 calendar is not yet available at this time, you can join their mailing list to be notified when tickets become available by visiting their website.

4. Captain Lou Party Cruises – Freeport, NY

The Captain Lou does more than party cruises and fishing excursions. Starting Wednesday, June 28th the Captain Lou will offer a 2-hour sunset cruise every Wednesday night. During those 2 hours you will enjoy a cruise around the bay, a live DJ, and have access to the cash bar on board. While you are prohibited from bringing outside beverages on board, you are free to bring your own food. This sunset cruise is open to all ages, and sails every Wednesday night from 7 to 9 pm. 5. Atlantis Explorer Tour Boat at the Long Island Aquarium – Riverhead, NY

Looking for an educational boat ride that the whole family can enjoy? There’s nothing better than having an interactive, educational experience alongside the great outdoors. This “floating classroom” cruise takes you down the Peconic River and Flanders Bay and is conducted by educators from the aquarium. The Atlantis Explorer Boat Tour will set sail from May to September, and now also offers full-moon moonlight cruises that are accompanied by fruit, cheese, and wine!
